Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s business development strategy and objectives, working closely with the Business Development Director. The role requires a firmwide focus.

· Supports the Business Development Director to drive the firm’s Cross-Selling and Business Development programs.
o Drives the development and execution of individual lawyer business development plans, ensuring that plans are tied to the firm’s practice group and strategic plans and goals, and have clearly stated action items and measurable milestones;
o Maintains a strong working relationship and high-level of interaction with lawyers;
o Works with lawyers to identify business development opportunities through cross-selling and/or collaboration;
o Identifies and executes on concrete actions discussed during meetings; and
o Reports on progress weekly.
· Supports the firm’s Business Development Director in completing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and other client / prospect-specific requests.
· Engages with the Director of Marketing and Marketing team on related needs and functions within the plans to ensure a comprehensive approach, and collaborates on marketing materials required to advance BD opportunities;
· Collaborates with the Special Events Manager to develop / deliver business development strategy surrounding firm events;
· Manages members of the business development team by delegating tasks, monitoring task completion and managing team performance.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or a related discipline
Preferred Education: J.D.
Required Experience: 5-10 years of related experience
Preferred Experience: Deep understanding of the legal industry and experience developing law business
